Thursday 2nd July – Miele’s Ice Cream are coming to the Crown area to celebrate the end of term!

missmorton1

To celebrate the end of term and the hard work of our amazing pupils and families, Miele’s Ice Cream will be set up in the Heathmount car park (just across from the school) on the last day of term.  This has been specially arranged for families and friends in the Crown Community to purchase some lovely treats. Miele’s have also very kindly said that a proportion of the sales made will be donated to Crown Primary School funds.

As a special treat for our P7 leavers, they will be donated an ice cream each. P7s- you must be wearing your leavers hoodies so you can be identified.

Please note that 2m physical distancing must be strictly observed. The school will not be present at this location to supervise, so it is the responsibility of parents and carers to ensure your child’s safety.

You can purchase your treats and support the school at the same time on Thursday 2nd July from 11.30am onwards.  P7s will have priority queuing between 11.30-12.00pm.

A massive thank you to Miele’s and the Heathmount for making this happen and helping us end a very different term in a lovely way! We are so grateful for the support from our whole community!

Final Week!

After a very long and challenging term we have finally arrived at the last week!

This week, I have taken on board the children’s suggestions and created activities that encourage creativity and are fun to complete! All the assignments will be released this evening and can be completed throughout the week. I will not issue a timetable this week as the assignments cover numerous curricular areas.  I would like to have a final video call on Wednesday at 12pm and anyone who is free can join in. We will hopefully be able to play a few games and have some fun.

A reminder that finished work and school belongings can be collected from the school hall on Tuesday but please read the information on the previous blog post for further information.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your support this year and I wish you all a safe and happy holiday.

See you in August!

msmac27

Please see the timetable below for collecting finished work and named belongings.

Items will be ready for collection from the school hall. Parents/pupils will enter and exit through the fire door straight into the hall from the playground (beside P1 area).  With siblings, belongings will be passed on to the oldest sibling in the school.

Physical distancing must be observed at all times.

Another step closer to something resembling normality! 🌈

Next Week

I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend. We are at the beginning of our eleventh week of the term and I wanted to share our weekly learning. I have scheduled some assignments to be released daily and some have been released this evening to cover the entire week. The attached timetable outlines the tasks that have been assigned and I have suggested when tasks can be completed throughout the week. Once again, I have had to change the day of our video call to Wednesday. As it is the second last week of term, I will open the call to anyone who wishes to join in and say hello. I will remind the children that it may be useful to have their microphone turned off until it is their time to share some news. I will open two video call slots at 12pm and then again at 1pm. I plan to play a short quiz and then ask the children to share something that they are looking forward in August. We will see how it goes!

Thank you for your continued support.
