Big Learning

Here is a look ahead to our Big Learning for next week!

In Numeracy we will continue to work on Multiplication. Children will each target a times table to work on – learning the stations first in sequence, and then learning to quickly recall multiplication and division facts at random. We will be thinking about multiplication as repeated addition and practising drawing arrays.

We will also be back on track with telling the time next week.

Our focus sound for spelling next week will be ‘ou’ or a revision week. Your child should have taken home their yellow spelling jotter today with the weekly spelling test. There has been a huge improvement in the retention of spelling words this week, so keep up the great work.

We are making excellent progress in learning our Common Spelling Words in class. Many children have just moved, or are on the brink of moving, up a level. Brilliant effort P2/3, I am very proud of you all!

In Literacy we will start to work on use of the possessive apostrophe for plurals.

We will be reading for informationresearching and taking notes on Victorian Schools.

We will begin to look at popular foods in French.

We look forward to seeing you all on Thursday afternoon and we are excited to share our learning with you.
